SHIRAKUMO Nagi
Shirakumo is a freelance composer for video games, films, and concert music. Born and raised in Germany, he moved to Japan in 2019, where he currently resides. He enrolled at Kunitachi College of Music in 2021 to study music composition, earning his Bachelor of Music degree in 2025. Shirakumo's compositional style is characterized by rich harmonies influenced by French and Japanese composers such as Debussy, Messiaen, and Takemitsu, but also by modern popular genres such as J-Pop, Jazz and Progressive Rock.
During his studies, he was able to study under many highly regarded teachers: composition with KAWASHIMA Motoharu, harmony with ICHIKAWA Kageyuki and OKUSADA Miwa, and counterpoint with NAKAYASU Yoshio. He continued to become the co-founder of the college's Game Music Arrange Club, wherein he gained a great amount of experience with music arrangement and orchestration.
Often inspired by world-building, he strives to create original and memorable music that captivates the listener.
